So far behind....

So, I haven't posted since last November. That sucks. Lots has happened. Lexi was born. Lost my job. Well, the position I guess you would say - still have a job it's just too too many hours. Scotties turned 4 on 5/10 - can't believe so much time has gone by. We're off to Brigantine thanks to the wonderful Helen B for a week, and then in September 2 week in Maine at Quarry Edge Cottage thanks to the most wonderful mom! Thanks, Mom! :)

I really should try to find time to keep up. Need to post some pix, I guess, and keep some sort of record for myself. So, maybe this time.

Ocean City MD October 17-24

We ended up having almost perfect weather for this time of year - sunny and warm for most of the days we were there. The townhouse was as promised, directly on the beach - heard the waves all night which I love. We had a small deck off our bedroom and woke every morning to sunrise over the ocean. Unbelievably relaxing and soothing. I do love the ocean.

And so did the dogs! Mom and Bill had a great time with them - even took them for a walk.

Now I can't decide if we should go to Maine for 2 weeks next spring, or try to do 2 weeks in OC in October. Oh, the decisions!
Here's what it looked like.

Tyler and Charli

I can't believe Charli will be 1 on 11/11. Time flies so quickly.

ADA Walk

Step Out for Diabetes was last Saturday. Raised $325 so not too shabby. Great day for a walk until the downpour at the very end but it was warm so still OK. Copped a new BS monitor that I love - tiny, tiny blood sample.

St George Festival Sat 10/10

Went out to the festival last night with Maniek and Maria, Chris and his two kids, and Maniek's friend from Poland. Don't know about the rest of them but my food was fabulous - a grilled porgy.

thursday 5 AM

September and December seem to be BD month in this family. We have Ryan, Cousin Peter and Aunt Callie now and then in December so many!! Aunt Marian, Bill, Tyler, Maniek, Maria and soon the newest little Schoen! Good thing we do one big bash for the whole crew.

Charlie will be one November 11 and I can hardly believe it. Annie's babysitting on Saturday so I'm going up with her - hopefully I'll get some good pix to post here.

Started tracking my walks as of 9/18 using MotionX-GPS and it's a fantastic application for iPhone - makes the entire phone worth having. The FB application that keeps a log of your tracks is a little buggy, though - most of my tracks disappeared but they're working on finding out why. Here's last night's walk - straight out 320 and back.

Another rainy day

Feeling punky and sick today; not sure if it's asthma, allergies, a cold or just fatigue from M's ordeal last week still stressing me out. But regardless of what happens I will get in my walk today. Made a commitment to myself and I will see it through.

I joined a challenge on WW called hiking the AT - it's a virtual hike of the Appalachian Trail based on actual outdoor miles you log in walking, running or biking. It will be interesting to see how I get along. Starting in Georgia and doing north. Since starting walking again Thursday I've gotten in 12.93 miles, so that's only an average of 2.16 per day. Think I'll have to step it up a bit!
